Michael Curley won the third ranking event of the year last Wednesday beating Sean Cheasty in his first final appearance. This was the third victory in a row for Curley and saw him out in front with 30 ranking points. However Curley was knocked out in the quarters of the UCD Cup in a shock result this week. The title was won by veteran member Ger Sheehy in his second final appearance in UCD. Ger returned to a heros welcome in his home town of Gathabawn, Co Kilkenny on Friday night. 'A' team player Oliver Mobasser gained much needed ranking points by reaching the final after a poor start to the season due to injury. Semi-finalists were Joe Thompson and Lorcan Kavanagh.
